Showcase was founded by Roger Conway, commencing business in 1979 producing theatre and concert programmes (hence the name Showcase), as well as exhibition catalogues, catering for both trade and public events, and over the years have worked successfully with most of the larger exhibition organizing businesses in Australia.

In the late 1980s Showcase identified the Defence market as being untapped, and began producing welcoming handbooks for defence bases to give to incoming personnel and their families.

This soon expanded and within a decade were producing handbooks for:

• The RAAF, at Richmond, Wagga, Williamtown,
  East Sale, Williams.
• The Royal Australian Navy, at HMAS Cerberus, HMAS Albatross and Creswell,
• The Australian Army, at Liverpool, Kapooka
  and Puckapunyal.
• On a tri-service basis for Perth, Darwin and Canberra.

More recently we expanded into the B2B market, with trade directories, handbooks and magazines, and targeted the ever increasing retirement aged market, with Retirement Living – a lifestyle format developing a close relationship with The Retirement Village Association and Council of the Ageing.

We are expanding our Travel and tourism section - publishing The Scenic Central Coast (a full colour promotion of the Central Coast as a destination, and now in its 18th consecutive year of publication). This is expanding and is now being produced twice a year. The large Backpack market has been catered for via Backpack Guide to Australia.

We are now teaming up with The Australian Institute of Travel & Tourism, the longest established professional travel organization in Australia having been founded in 1967, and are developing and expanding their website and handbook for members so as to make it the definitive travel site.

Over the years we have also worked with Government departments and agencies other than Defence, and have produced work with the Premiers’ Dept in NSW, as well as for the NSW Police Association.
